![]() HighBar Productions, producer of BodyShaping, Fitness Beach, and other TV FITNESS shows, is a direct marketer of home fitness products; they use their shows as vehicles to display, demonstrate, and advertise their various products (from aerobic steps and ab machines to vitamins and videos). Our work for them included TV spots that aired during their shows, print ads in fitness magazines such as FLEX and Fitness, and a direct mail program revolving around the creation of the BodyShaping Fitness Club. We introduced products such as their HeartZone pulse rate monitor and the BodyShaping Machine, as well as designed the product artwork, all packaging and collateral materials. In addition, we did PR for their fitness shows - putting together sponsorship deals and releasing relevant materials concerning the shows to the media. As a result of our innovative techniques, sales of HighBar's fitness & nutrition products increased steadily. Maimonides Medical Center

![]() Account Profile: Maimonides Medical Center (MMC) is the largest hospital in Brooklyn. Servicing one of the most diverse communities in the world, its staff can communicate with its patients in over 15 different languages. Challenge: MMC allowed each of its divisions and specialties to market themselves in their own manner. This allows for the greatest flexibility, as each division is an expert in its own narrow field, but eliminates the potential for brand building. Solution: KD&E took Maimonides and gave it new corporate look and life. We developed an overall corporate identity program for the hospital which eliminated disparate confusing messages and provided them with a consistent graphic image not only for the Medical Center but for all the separate departments. They included the Cardiac Institute, the Orthopaedic Institute of Brooklyn, The Vein Treatment Center, Brooklyn IVF, the Birthing Center, Brooklyn Women's Services Inc., and the Travel Medicine Service. To address the highly competitive environment of hospital advertising in the New York area with our limited budget, we created untraditional but successful advertising in print, radio, TV, and outdoor advertising. Result: Our advertising brought all of these departments together under a united, cohesive corporate umbrella, selling each department and Maimonides as well. National Kidney Foundation
![]() Our pro-bono work includes television and print campaigns as well as logo/identity design for the various projects undertaken by the NKF. These include our "Kidney Cars" campaign to have people donate their used cars; "Where There's A Will There's A Way," which advocates specifying organ donation in your will; "The Pills That Kill," warning consumers about potentially lethal combinations of over-the-counter medications; and, "Johnny Wets His Bed," an awareness campaign informing parents that some forms of bedwetting can be signs of more serious, but treatable, illness. Pfizer Pharmaceuticals
![]() We've been working with Pfizer's Pediatric Care division since early '97, promoting Bright Futures, a national initiative sponsored by Pfizer dedicated to improving the health of our nation's children. Bright Futures offers support and guidelines to families and health professionals emphasizing children's mental health, cognitive development and social efficacy as well as their physical well-being. KD&E has designed direct mail campaigns promoting their materials to doctors, nurses, and other healthcare providers, arming them with the knowledge to inform parents about Bright Futures while providing a glimpse of the attractively designed and informative materials. Our projects have promoted the Bright Futures Pocket Guide; a growth chart featuring developmental milestones for children aged 1 thru 5; an educational activity/coloring book; "Encounter Forms" for both healthcare providers and families, outlining procedures, goals and topics for discussion at the recommended visits; and the Bright Futures web site, www.brightfutures.org . We're currently working to promote their Pediatric Resource Guide, a listing of specialists and other resources. And no, we don't have any free samples of Viagra. 245 Fifth Avenue, 23rd Floor, New York, NY 10016 Tel: 212.686.0006 Contact Us |
